Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Optometrist Doctor to join our team! As an Optometrist on the team, this is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in practicing Mobile Optometry to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the St Petersburg/Sarasota area.
Imagine you can practice optometry to its fullest, and your patients rarely ever complain since you are the voice of the patients who cannot express themselves. This group of patients often have gradually or suddenly lost their eyesight or have eye infections unnoticed by staff or poorly treated by nurse practitioners. They have a high rate of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, blepharitis, and eye diseases. These patients often greet you with a big smile when their eyeglasses are dispensed. We are equipped with portable OCT, fundus camera, b-scan and visual fields to diagnose and monitor eye diseases. If you are compassionate and love ocular pathology, you will love this mode of practice compared to conventional practices.
Full scope practice looking for an Optometrist who can treat geriatric population • M-F schedule • 20-25 patients daily • Portable equipment provided • $600-$1000 with bonuses – 1099 MISC • Ability to earn $150K-$200k • No Weekends. Requirements: O.D. licensed to practice in FL.
Partnership offered after 1 year of employment.
Compensation: $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 per month
About Us
THE NEED IS GREAT
Of all the senses, most people believe sight is the most precious. Yet, functional blindness is a grim reality for 17% of all nursing home residents. Another 19% have lesser forms of visual impairment. Many of these cases could have been helped with regular professional eye care.
Most residents of long term care facilities are unable to walk or drive and cannot comfortably leave the facility for eye care. Many are physically unable to communicate that they are having eye problems.
THE SOLUTION IS EASY
Advanced Surgical Mobile Eye Care is a group of optometrists and technicians with over 20 years of experience servicing residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and intermediate care facilities as well residents with special needs and intellectually disabled.
We are a comprehensive eye health and eye care service providing on-site visits.
We specialize in the visual problems and treatment of the elderly and infirm and are well trained in examining them in a caring, gentle manner. Our state of the art mobile eye care units can be wheeled into the facility to examine patients in a common area or even in their beds.
OUR GOAL
Because good vision is integral to the highest possible quality of life, it is our mission to provide optical services to those residents of nursing facilities for whom transportation needs and physical limitations make traditional doctor’s visits difficult or impossible.
Our goal is to prevent blindness, enhance vision, provide greater comfort and enjoyment of life to the patient and preserve vision through timely intervention of eye conditions. When vision is maximized, seniors are safer, more independent in daily activities and less demanding of the staff that cares for them.
